About the role

The Sanitation, Warehouse role ensures the health and safety of all associates by maintaining a clean and safe workplace. This position performs general janitorial, cleaning, and sanitation tasks in warehouse facilities, including dry, cooler, and freezer areas, and may also cover office areas as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Completes all work according to company health and safety policies and guidelines.
• Reports all unsafe conditions or unsafe acts immediately to ensure safety of all associates.
• Performs cleaning duties as assigned, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash pickup, and related janitorial tasks.
• Handles all cleaning chemicals as directed in hazmat material sheets.
• Completes all assigned Pure Safety training modules in a timely and accurate manner.
• May operate a pallet jack to transport refuse/trash to appropriate receptacles.
• Completes all assignments accurately and on time.
• May work with cleaning chemicals.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• 6+ months of general sanitation, cleaning, and/or janitorial work experience.
• Experience performing light maintenance tasks and small repairs, with the ability to safely use basic hand tools and assist with routine facility upkeep (preferred).
• Must pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
