Job Summary

The Food & Nutrition Sanitation worker will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in the Food & Nutrition Department. This role requires adherence to HACCP guidelines, ensuring patient safety, and reporting hazards and unsafe work conditions.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrates the ability to perform specific competencies as listed on the Competency Checklist.
  • Mutually agreed upon performance goals/objectives established annually as listed on the performance management plan.
  • Adheres to HACCP/food safety guidelines/policies & procedures.
  • Utilizes systems/processes to ensure patient safety, infection control practices, department security & HIPPA guidelines.
  • Maintains and adheres to Food & Nutrition uniform and personal appearance standards at all time.
  • Reports all hazards and unsafe work conditions.
  • Utilizes proper processes to achieve patient, customer & physician satisfaction goals.
  • Reports customer complaints to appropriate supervisor.
  • Fosters a culture of commitment to the HCA vision, mission, and values of the organization.
  • Participates in team and individual employee training.
  • Participates in training with other members of the Food Service department staff to further develop/advance within the industry.
  • Utilizes cost control processes to meet goals and reduce waste.
  • Follows all time keeping standards: time clock procedures, meal breaks, timely clocking.

Education & Experience

  • High School Graduate\Equivalent.
  • Required 1 + years of experience in healthcare.
  • PREFERRED: Experience in healthcare.
