- Minimum: Ability to read a technical manual, retain, and comprehend
- Basic math functions (addition, multiplication, subtraction and division)
- Reading/writing skills to complete forms
- Team player
- Effective communication and comprehension
- Safety awareness and practices
- High school diploma or GED
- Desired: Previous related work experience
- Customer service and communication skills
- Safe food handling procedures
- Equipment operation for cleaning and maintaining floor conditions
- Cleaning public restrooms and filling dispensers
- Emptying and disposing of trash
- Cleaning walls, vents, and ceilings
- Exterminating rodents and insects
- Dismantling, cleaning, and reassembling refrigerated cases
- Moving equipment and non-stationary displays
- Replacing light bulbs and fluorescent tubes
- Cleaning and maintaining cleaning and sanitation supplies in departments
- Shampooing and vacuuming mats and rugs
- Following after-hand scrubbers and trail mops
- Mixing cleansers and sanitizers safely
- Spreading ice melt and shoveling snow
- Performing minor maintenance on equipment
- Cooperative and non-confrontational conflict resolution
- Honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Following directions and seeking assistance when necessary
- Supporting and assisting through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults
