Sanitation Operator - Night Shift
What You Will Do
- Disassemble, clean, sanitize, and reassemble machine parts, equipment, and other areas
- Maintain cleanliness of all components of food production and processing equipment
- Monitor and adjust chemical cleaning usage
- Work with the QA department on Pre-Op inspections
- Aid in driving training initiatives of sanitation procedures to production
- Remove waste and debris
- Affirm food safety standards with regards to GMPs and HACCP plan
- Assist with startup, and shutdown of machinery and production line equipment
- Follow all relevant Standard Operating Procedures SOPs and SSOPs
- Assure food safety standards with regards to GMPs and HACCP plan are being followed by self and fellow employees
- Follow safety procedures with lock out tag out and exposure to hot equipment and cleaning chemicals
- Manually lift and transport unfinished product during production process
- Work in a cold and wet environment with temperatures of approximately 40° F
- Work 12-hr. shifts on a rotating 7-day schedule
- Perform other duties as assigned
What You Will Bring
- High school diploma or GED
- One year manufacturing experience preferred
- Food manufacturing sanitation experience preferred
- Ability to read and follow procedures and accurately complete paperwork related to sanitation activities
- Ability to lift 50lbs or more, in addition to standing, walking, bending, and stooping throughout the 12-hr. shift schedule
