Sanitation Operator - Night Shift

About the Role

Performs a variety of cleaning/sanitation duties and responsibilities for the plant.

Responsibilities

• Requires working in enclosed /confined spaces - must be able to obtain a confined space authorized certification
• Requires working at heights equal to plant ceilings and exterior silos
• Climbing ladders and stairs
• Requires working in temperature extremes, hot and cold, indoor and outdoors
• Setting up, performing CIP (clean in place) cleaning operations, and reassembly of equipment
• Must be able to disassemble and reassemble equipment for PEC (periodic equipment cleaning) cleaning
• Responsible for keeping accurate written records and required to complete reports
• Performs cleaning and sanitation activities as determined by the Master Sanitation Schedule and/or Sanitation Lead and/or Sanitation Program Manager
• As assigned, must use personal protective equipment, such as gloves, boots, fall protection or respirator
• Often works wearing a full body harness, tied off with safety lines (retractable lifelines)
• Mechanical Aptitude is required

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Prefer one - two years of full-time sanitation work history
