Sanitation Operator

About the role

Sanitor workers are responsible for several bakery manufacturing activities. Candidates must be willing and able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Must be able to communicate and work effectively in a team environment and be flexible in assignments within the utility category. Must be able to follow instructions (written & verbal), safely, accurately complete assigned duties and maintain GMP standards and participate as part of the Food Defense Team.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and disassemble equipment
• Clean floors, lights, walls, windows, ceilings, restrooms, break room, wash rack, and equipment (e.g., mixer, oven, hand truck) in various areas of the plant
• Clean processing and non-processing equipment (e.g., coolers, oven)
• Clean grounds (e.g., snow removal, weeds, tree trimming, police grounds)
• Spot paint various areas within the plant
• Communicate with production staff regarding problems and cleaning frequency
• Dismantle machinery
• Discard waste and/or trash
• Resolve insect problems
• May perform other duties not listed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous safety training preferred
