About the Role
Our Post Consumer Brands-Eugene Lead Sanitation Tech is responsible for maintaining food safety through the cleaning of company equipment used in food production, packaging, and warehouse/shipping areas within the guidelines of Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and Food Industry Best Practices for people and food safety. The Lead Technician will assign activities to Sanitation Technicians and ensure assignments are safely and satisfactorily completed.
Responsibilities
- Enforce proper safe chemical handling by all employees on the shift.
- Ensure all raw materials storage, food blending, ovens, packaging machinery, warehouse, and perimeter areas are cleaned to a Master Sanitation Schedule and company regulations.
- Clean assigned equipment per sanitation standard operating procedures, including disassembly and reassembly to remove all food residue.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices and personal hygiene practices.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and policies; report unsafe or unsanitary conditions immediately to the supervisor.
- Maintain daily reports and records as assigned.
- Lead shift team and assign jobs to Sanitation Technicians.
- Accurately document and complete assigned Master Sanitation Schedule tasks.
- Report all completed testing appropriately.
- Assist in the introduction, training, and evaluation process for new employees.
- Ensure GMPs and chemical usage guidelines are followed by Sanitation Technicians.
- Report observed performance and behavioral issues to the supervisor; recognize and report exemplary behavior.
- Take necessary action on all food safety and quality problems reported or observed.
- Participate in Safety committee meetings.
- Complete other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
- One year of experience in sanitation in a food manufacturing facility or medical facility.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
- Computer competency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Physical Requirements
- Transport up to 55 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Reach, grasp, and make fast, repeated movements of fingers, hands, and wrists.
- Operate at or above shoulder height for short periods.
- Push, pull, bend, stretch, twist, and/or reach throughout the shift.
- Distinguish between sounds such as forklift horns, fire alarms, and machine signals.
- Operate in hot, humid, cold, and dusty manufacturing environments.
- Transit the facility for the entirety of the shift (8 hours).
- Remain stationary at a workstation for extended periods.
- Ascend and descend stairs/ladders throughout the shift.

3rd shift - Saturday to Wednesday
Pay
$20+/hour depending on experience, plus a 3rd shift differential of $1.50/hour.
