Summary
Cleaning and sanitizing either the common areas of the plant or the processing room by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming and emptying trash as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Inventory and stocking of supply rooms as needed
- Fill proportions with cleaning chemicals as needed
- Ability to operate hand jacks, manlift and boom, floor scrubber, KaiVac and other cleaning equipment as required
- Responsible for periodic deep cleaning of facilities as outlined by 3rd party audit requirements and as instructed by the Sanitation Manager
- Understanding 5 S programs
- Document all cleaning activities
- Clean all computer stations, control panels, extruder motors/gear boxes, electrical cabinets (exterior), electrical lines, containers/carts, ladders, fan filters/vents, walls/floor mats, sink area/wash pit, mixer platforms, die storage room, pump station, and scales in the processing area
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of hire.
- High School diploma or GED
- One-month related experience or training
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, and decimals
Physical Demands
- Must be in good physical condition to perform the tasks assigned.
- Must be able to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands/arms, and talk/hear.
- Frequently required to stand and walk and lift/move up to 25lbs.
- Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds (and pass the annual lift test).
- Work environment conditions may require/recommend the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, side shields, hearing protection and hair/beard nets.

Shifts
- Night shift available
- 12-hour shift (7pm-7am)
- Working 3-4 days/week (One week: Sun, Wed, Thurs, Next week: Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat). This is a 2-2-3 schedule (2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off rotation)
