Sanitation- Bluffton Plant

Summary

Cleaning and sanitizing either the common areas of the plant or the processing room by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming and emptying trash as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Inventory and stocking of supply rooms as needed - Fill proportions with cleaning chemicals as needed - Ability to operate hand jacks, manlift and boom, floor scrubber, KaiVac and other cleaning equipment as required - Responsible for periodic deep cleaning of facilities as outlined by 3rd party audit requirements and as instructed by the Sanitation Manager - Understanding 5 S programs - Document all cleaning activities - Clean all computer stations, control panels, extruder motors/gear boxes, electrical cabinets (exterior), electrical lines, containers/carts, ladders, fan filters/vents, walls/floor mats, sink area/wash pit, mixer platforms, die storage room, pump station, and scales in the processing area

Minimum Qualifications

- Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of hire. - High School diploma or GED - One-month related experience or training - Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, and decimals

Physical Demands

- Must be in good physical condition to perform the tasks assigned. - Must be able to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands/arms, and talk/hear. - Frequently required to stand and walk and lift/move up to 25lbs. - Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds (and pass the annual lift test). - Work environment conditions may require/recommend the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, side shields, hearing protection and hair/beard nets.

Shifts

- Night shift available - 12-hour shift (7pm-7am) - Working 3-4 days/week (One week: Sun, Wed, Thurs, Next week: Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat). This is a 2-2-3 schedule (2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off rotation)
