Description Sanitation Hourly At Pilgrim’s, Safety Is A Condition, which means the safety of our team members comes first - always. Join our sanitation team and help ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and food quality across our poultry processing operations.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize production equipment, tools, and work areas according to USDA, food safety, and company sanitation standards
• Prepare, mix, and safely apply cleaning chemicals while following all PPE and safety requirements
• Inspect equipment and areas after sanitation to ensure proper cleanliness and report any issues or hazards promptly
• Maintain an organized, safe work environment by removing debris, rinsing surfaces, and ensuring proper storage of tools and chemicals
• Work collaboratively with team members to complete sanitation tasks efficiently and support a positive, safety-focused environment
• Follow detailed sanitation procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and all safety, food safety, and biosecurity guidelines
• Perform additional sanitation duties as needed to support production readiness and meet operational goals

Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma/GED preferred
• Experience: Sanitation experience preferred, experience with chemicals preferred, food industry, manufacturing, or physical labor experience is a plus

Skills

• Ability to multitask and work quickly in a fast-paced environment
• Have good communication skills
• Ability to comprehend instructions and apply common sense
• Have strong attention to detail
• Must be a team player

Physical requirements

• Ability to work in a refrigerated environment with temperatures ranging from 10°F to 40°F
• Standing for extended periods of time
• Able to lift 40 lbs
