Sanitation Aide
Position Purpose
Performs a variety of food service duties including loading and delivering food trucks to patient floors, loading and unloading dish machine, pot washing, trash removal, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning food service equipment and work areas, and general cleaning duties.
What You Will Do
- Disposes of trash, garbage, and cardboard boxes in proper receptacles, delivering to loading dock trash storage area as required.
- Cleans pots and pans using manual and automatic dish machine cleaning procedures.
- Unloads dishes from dish machine.
- Delivers meal trays to patient rooms.
- Delivers and pickup food trucks from patient floor per schedules.
- Picks up late trays from patient pantries.
- Stocks up work areas in kitchen, dish room, and cafeteria as needed.
- Serves hot beverages on the tray line.
- Cleans and sanitizes food trucks after each meal period.
- Cleans and sanitizes food service equipment, wall areas, and other areas as assigned.
- Sweeps, mops and rinses floor areas of Dietary Dept. and vacuums cafeteria dining area using appropriate cleaning products and proper procedures.
- Completes special cleaning assignments as needed to include wall areas, equipment, etc.
- Maintains tray drop-off area, removing items to dish room and loading onto dish machine.

Working Conditions
Requires working in areas of increased temperature such as around pot machine and dish machine using hot water. Duties require lifting items weighing up to 50 lbs., bending, and pulling.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to read and understand English.
- No experience required.
- Occasional contact with patients and/or customers requiring common courtesy.

- Pay Range: $17.00-$21.80 Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
