Sanitation - 1st Shift- 6am to 6pm - Sat, Sun & Mon

About the role

Ensure the health and safety of customer product by maintaining a clean facility. The role supports the company's values of customer first, respect, high business ethics, good corporate citizenship, professional relationships, continuous improvement culture, and safety commitment.

Responsibilities

• Vacuum and clean bug lights as needed using hot soapy water; replace bulbs.
• Empty trash daily in all areas of the building.
• Inspect refrigerators for spillage and clean with hot soapy water.
• Remove spider webs using designated equipment around forklift areas, racking, guide rail, perimeter and edges.
• Vacuum carpet areas.
• Sweep and pick up wood chips, strapping, shrink wrap, etc. off the warehouse floor.
• Vacuum cracks in the dock plates.
• Clean exit door perimeters.
• Empty trash, sweep and mop, clean tables, chairs and counters in the employee lunchroom/breakroom.
• Dust dock doors and clean dock lights.
• Maintain clean windows and mirrors.
• Follow established dock safety practices; prepare cleaning supplies per manufacturer recommendations.
• Report equipment malfunctions to manager/maintenance immediately.
• Follow safety and security policies and SOPs.
• Inspect perimeter of building for evidence of rodents, bird infestation, cleanliness and security; report any captures to Distribution Manager.
• Assist in other areas and on clean‑up day when requested.
• Participate in pre‑shift and department meetings.
• Maintain daily housekeeping of operations building, equipment, break rooms, restrooms, smoke areas, etc.
• Promote teamwork and assist in all areas and processes as needed.

Requirements

• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs., sit, stand and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to twist, squat and reach above shoulder level.
• Ability to work in a non‑climate controlled environment.

Pay

$22.50 per hour
