AHF Products, a leading hard surface flooring manufacturer in the USA, has an opportunity for a Sander Operator in Beverly, WV. Reporting to the Finish Line Production Supervisor, this role is key to ensuring flooring is sanded to specifications for a quality finish and maintaining sander efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Maintain good attendance record
- Perform and schedule sander maintenance as required
- Ensure all counters function properly
- Verify flooring specifications and document data
- Complete lineal, quality, and downtime sheets hourly
- Change sanding paper as needed
- Maintain housekeeping and 5S standards in the Finish Line area
- Meet daily production numbers and run footage requirements
- Use calipers and micrometers
- Operate and maintain multiple pieces of equipment
- Practice safe work habits
- Communicate effectively with co-workers
- Work different shifts as needed
Requirements
- General knowledge of sander operation
- General maintenance ability
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance correctly and on time
- Effective communication skills (speaking, writing, active listening, taking instruction)
- Knowledge of safety regulations and commitment to a safe work environment
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow established policies and procedures
- Proficient computer skills
- Willingness to work core hours supporting business needs
Physical Demands
- Occasionally push, pull, carry, and lift up to 50 pounds

- Frequent visual acuity at 20/20 (with prescriptive lenses if needed)
