About the role

Sewer Equipment provides the highest quality and most innovative sewer cleaning products for the municipal and contractor market. The Sandblaster is responsible for safely removing debris and imperfections from the unit utilizing the blast booth with steel shot media.

Responsibilities

• Blast tanks, shrouds, and frames to remove dirt, grease, paint, and other built-up material from surfaces
• Set up and operate sandblasting equipment
• Log all work completed
• Turn booth on and off following work procedure orders
• Clean booth as directed
• Wear proper PPE (personal protective equipment) while in booth
• Perform other duties as assigned

Schedule

Permanent full-time night shift: Monday–Thursday, 8:00 pm – 6:30 am. Based in Dixon, IL.

Pay

• Pay range: $18.43 – $23.96 per hour
• $2.00/hour night shift differential
• Productivity Bonus, paid quarterly (average 2025 payout was $7/hour; payouts based on overall company profitability and attendance)
• $500 sign-on bonus, paid after 90 days of employment

Requirements

• Must be able to work as part of a team
• Previous sandblasting experience preferred
• Prolonged periods of standing and sandblasting
• Enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work
• Able to push a rolling load of parts
• Able to kneel, crouch, and climb ladders
• Able to lift 50 lbs
• Must be at least 18 years old
