Sandblaster - Aerospace Titanium Manufacturing (Swing Shift)

About the Role

CPP and its subsidiaries are a world-class supplier of titanium castings and components for the aerospace industry, with multiple facilities in Albany, OR. We are poised for substantial growth with opportunities for advancement. This is a non-management, full-time position focused on surface preparation of titanium castings.

Responsibilities

• Use a sandblast machine to clean material surfaces using a mixture of coarse sand and compressed air.
• Move titanium castings to various areas of the facility.
• Process parts out of a dryer after chem milling.
• Handle paperwork to ensure documentation is complete and correct.
• Mask castings as directed by the Dimensional Inspection department.
• Assist with general departmental clean-up, including sweeping and shoveling debris.
• Follow all safety rules and safe work practices to ensure a safe working environment.
• Inventory supply items.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Demonstrates ability to work safely and productively in a manufacturing environment.
• Solid job history, including at least 1 year with a former or recent employer.
• High school diploma or equivalent GED (candidates without this but with relevant experience will be considered).
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Willingness to undergo a pre-employment background check and participate in pre-employment and periodic drug screening.
• Must take a baseline hearing test prior to starting.
• U.S. person status is required (U.S. citizens, legal permanent residents, or protected individuals as defined by U.S. law).

Working Conditions

The job is performed under moderate working conditions with exposure to dust, noise, temperature variations, and machinery. Safety shoes, hearing protection, and eye protection are required.

Schedule

Swing Shift - Monday through Thursday, 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM (4x10 schedule).
