Sand Blast Technician

About the role

Under the direction of the Group Lead, you will operate pultrusion machines, inspect rod bodies, pack rods, move rods to the assembly department, and handle scrap rod bodies.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Pultrusion Machines while maintaining visual contact and continuously monitoring process quality.
• Fill out documents and reports as instructed.
• Inspect rod bodies for defects; place good rods in crates and scrap rods in designated scrap locations.
• Pack rods and move them to the assembly department.
• Handle scrap rod bodies; when time permits, make pony rods from specified scrap rods.
• Wear required PPE and follow all policies and procedures communicated by Endurance Lift Solutions.
• Prioritize safety and housekeeping in all tasks.
• Attend and exhibit behavior consistent with Basic Safety Training, Safety Meetings, and Waste Elimination/6S training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions and correspondence.
• Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Minimum 6 months experience as a Pultrusion Operator I with proven mastery of associated tasks, or a combination of equivalent qualifications.

Physical & Mental Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to maneuver throughout a shop or warehouse.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items while working.
• Manual dexterity and coordination to operate hand and mechanical tools.
• Ability to work at a fast pace and tolerate changing priorities with frequent interruptions.
• Ability to respond to visual and aural cues.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Work Environment

Work is primarily performed within an ELS location during normal or extended business hours. May also include customer sites such as oil well sites and meeting venues.
