About the role

The Financial Literacy Center (FLC) Student Assistant supports the day-to-day operations of the Financial Literacy Center by providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and connecting students with campus and community resources.

Responsibilities

  • Hosting PB and collaborative events for the CSUSB student population
  • Identifying and creating campus events including contracting and collaboration building
  • Data Entry
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Maintain a 2.0 GPA or greater per semester and cumulative
  • Admission or registration as a CSU student
  • Enrolled in at least halftime units at CSUSB (6 units undergraduate; 3 units graduate)
  • Eligible to work in the United States

Pay and Benefits

Student Employment Anticipated Hiring Range: $16.90 per hour. The compensation offered will consider internal equity and experience among other factors.

Position Information

  • Work status: Part-Time, Temporary, Seasonal
  • Academic year available hours: Monday through Friday (8:00 am – 5:00 pm)
  • Summer available hours: Monday through Thursday (7:00 am - 5:30 pm)

Conditions of Employment

  • Satisfactory completion of a background check (including a criminal records check) may be required for student employment purposes.
  • CSU hires only individuals lawfully authorized to work in the United States.
  • Completion of Sexual Violence Prevention Training within 6 months of assuming employment and on a two-year basis thereafter.
