San Bernardino USD ETSA Program In Person Tutor 26/27'

JOB INFORMATION

HeyTutor has partnered with a school district in San Bernardino and is seeking 50 English & Math tutors for Elementary, Middle School, and High School students during school hours. Tutors will work with students aged K-12.

JOB DUTIES

• Working with groups of students without teacher or school site staff support
• Preparing area for tutoring sessions
• Picking up and dropping off students from designated areas in school sites (when needed)
• Taking attendance and running lessons through HeyTutor Dashboard (if applicable)
• Documenting student progress with HeyTutor Dashboard
• Facilitating students taking and completing baseline and summative assessments (when requested by manager)
• Leading a group of students in tutoring sessions, using provided curriculum and materials
• Creating an engaging environment that fosters a sense of belonging
• Supporting students in making positive behavior choices
• Engaging and interacting with tutoring lessons alongside students
• Daily clocking in and out of Deputy for shifts
• Performing any other duties as required by the Company, manager, or school site

SCHEDULE

Monday - Friday: must be available 8am - 4PM (24-26 hours per week). Shift times will be determined by school campus needs.

REQUIREMENTS

• Enrolled in College (60 units completed) or have completed an AA, BA, or higher
• Tutoring experience (great with kids)
• Comfortable tutoring Middle School Math & ELA
• Comfortable working in a classroom setting
• Cleared FBI-DOJ background check (provided through us)
• Spanish Bilingual is a plus

PAY

$22-28 per hour, depending on a combination of education and experience, determined at the time of interview.
