San Antonio, TX 78240 - Onsite Nurse Assessor - 1099 (RN) Contract $125 Per Assessment

About the role

The Helper Bees partners with insurance carriers and health plans to provide quality care and the right tools to keep older adults independent, healthy, and at home longer. This per diem opportunity allows you to earn supplemental income as an Independent Contracted Nurse completing face‑to‑face in‑depth cognitive and functional assessments in clients’ homes. It is a 1099 contract position requiring a portable computer with Windows or a tablet with camera and reliable internet. Assessments must be submitted via an online application within 24 hours, with any clarifications addressed within 48 hours. Pay is $125 per assessment within a 35‑mile radius. The role is based in San Antonio, Texas, on‑site, with 5‑10 years of experience expected.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in‑depth cognitive and functional assessments of clients in their homes.
• Observe and report the client’s current status.
• Remain objective throughout the assessment.
• Complete structured assessments focusing on accuracy and efficiency.
• Coordinate scheduling with the client or their point of contact using provided contact information.
• Submit accurate assessment reports through the online application within 24 hours.
• Address any clarification requests from the review team by telephone within 48 hours; an assessment is not considered complete until all clarifications are answered.
• Maintain a portable computer with Windows or a tablet with camera and reliable internet for submitting assessments.

Requirements

Qualifications
