About the Role
As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for providing a well-stocked and well-maintained department while delivering superior customer service. This role involves stocking and rotating products, maintaining department and safety standards, and assisting customers with their needs.
Responsibilities
- Stock and rotate items as needed, ensuring product freshness and quality.
- Assist with inventory control; load, unload, and move product.
- Organize, clean, and prepare the back area for the night crew and incoming trucks.
- Organize merchandise on pallets to present the department professionally to the public.
- Ensure the integrity of shelf tags and signage; create or prepare signage as needed.
- Maintain standards in shrink, safety, inventory control, and sanitation.
- Check shipments for out-of-date or damaged products.
- Build, stock, maintain, and take down store displays.
- Provide superior customer service, answer questions, and assist customers with selections.
- Help customers locate store merchandise.
- Merchandise products effectively and use suggestive selling techniques to meet customer needs and build department sales.
- Clean and sanitize sales floor, display cases, prep areas, and equipment.
- Properly handle and maintain the operation of all equipment.
- Comply with departmental SOPs and store operating procedures.

- Beauty: Knowledge of beauty and cosmetic aids.
- Drugstore / General Merchandise: Prepare tags and signs as needed.
- Grocery: Organize, clean, and prepare back area for the night crew and incoming trucks; prepare tags and signs as needed.
- Texas Backyard: Passion for the outdoors; ability to complete Green Thumb training (H-E-B internal training).
- Entertainment: Knowledge in the audio/video field; familiarity with specialty products, movies, music, electronics, and video games.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
- Completion of company orientation and safety training upon hire.
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Reading, writing, planning, and organizing skills.
