Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure that your work station has the necessary work tools, materials (supplies) and instructions needed for the fixtures you need to build.
- Maintain tight coordination with sales, marketing and product engineers to ensure that you fully understand what is needed before you begin an order.
- Obtain final Quality control verifications before products leave the building, fixing anything that comes up.
- Fulfill all orders within the one-week allotted timeline, work with the sales team on alternatives or partial fulfillments when needed.
- Work with the trade show team on the design and building of table-top trade show booths as well as the fixtures we want to showcase for all company trade shows and the in-house showroom. Repair and update anything as needed to keep it fresh and up to date.
- Testing fixtures: This is testing track fixtures and specialty fixtures (RGBW and Tunable white).
- Programming: This is programming drivers for the right settings for the fixture.
- Coding and approving sample orders in the ERP system (NetSuite)
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Prior experience in electronics and lighting components and in quality assurance or quality control is preferred, but not required.
- Experience using basic hand and power tools to solder electronic components, screw / twist mechanical parts and build boxes for trade show booths (carpentry, painting).
- Experience with computers and software applications such as database management system, customer relation management system, word and excel.
- Able to read, interpret and follow work orders, assembly instructions and basic technical drawings.
- Professional verbal and written communication and a positive attitude.
- Takes personal pride in own work, attention to detail, quality and professionalism.
Physical Demands
- Must have ability to select, lift, carry, and stack product weighing between 25 and 50 pounds.
- Manual dexterity and constant use of hands to assemble using manual and power tools.
- Able to sit or stand at a work station for 8 hours per day, with breaks while occasionally bending, stooping, twisting, and do repetitive work 2 to 4 hours at a time
Hours, compensation and benefits
- Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm with two 15-minute breaks and one hour for lunch.
- Hourly rate starts at $20 per hour, negotiable based on skillset and experience.
