About the Role

The Sample Splitter will perform sample splitting on soil samples by following a program in LIMS (Lab Information Management System) that will display the types of splits and checks required. Responsibilities include:

• Performing moisture checks on samples as required
• Weighing out sample mass using a balance and recording information in LIMS
• Running instrumentation and transferring data into the LIMS system
• Performing sample discard on various bottle types by following LIMS disposal programs
• Additional duties as assigned

Schedule

This is a full-time position on 2nd shift, 3pm–11:30pm. Shift options are Tuesday–Saturday or Sunday–Thursday. Training will be on 1st shift (Monday–Friday) for 3–4 weeks.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to work independently
• Basic computer skills, including data entry
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
• Professional working proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking)

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous laboratory experience
• Previous experience with instrumentation
• Attention to detail
• Ability to use a balance and measure using milliliters

Pay

Pay range: $17.75 per hour plus a 10% shift differential.
