Job Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, label, retrieve, pack, and ship post-trial clinical human biological samples.
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures regarding intake, inspections, registration, and retrieval of samples.
  • Affirm the maintenance, accuracy, and quality control of electronic patient and sample data files meeting regulatory and compliance standards.
  • Comply with applicable standards and best practices, such as CLIA, CAP, GCP, GLP, GDPR, HIPAA, Common Rule, HTA, etc.
  • Ensure the maintenance, accuracy and quality control of electronic patient and sample data files meet regulatory and compliance standards.
  • Carefully follow company, departmental, and local safety policies, and procedures.
  • Be an active member of the scientific teams – contribute at team meetings by presenting data and looking for opportunities for innovation.
  • Serve as part of an on-call rotation, providing timely response to after-hours alarms, incidents, and critical operational issues.
  • Maintain training and compliance in areas of health and safety, security, environmental and operational aspects of daily activities in the working environment.
  • Actively seek opportunities to develop the service by discussion with the team leader and customer or by sharing the best practice(s) with other groups.
  • Work independently and flexibly depending on team priorities and set realistic work schedules to support requirements.
  • Support management of daily workflow within the department.

Qualifications

  • Basic Qualifications: BS or equivalent in a relevant scientific subject (e.g. biology, biotechnology, or biomedical sciences) with 1+ years of working experience OR Associate’s degree in biology, chemistry or other relevant disciplines with 3+ years of working experience.
  • Knowledgeable in good laboratory practices and laboratory safety practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two or more years working within a laboratory environment.
  • Hands-on experience with a variety of cell biology, biochemistry, or analytical chemistry techniques.
  • Experience with Good Documentation Practice.
  • Experience with customer service.
  • Supervisor or management experience.
