Job Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, label, retrieve, pack, and ship post-trial clinical human biological samples.
- Adhere to standard operating procedures regarding intake, inspections, registration, and retrieval of samples.
- Affirm the maintenance, accuracy, and quality control of electronic patient and sample data files meeting regulatory and compliance standards.
- Comply with applicable standards and best practices, such as CLIA, CAP, GCP, GLP, GDPR, HIPAA, Common Rule, HTA, etc.
- Ensure the maintenance, accuracy and quality control of electronic patient and sample data files meet regulatory and compliance standards.
- Carefully follow company, departmental, and local safety policies, and procedures.
- Be an active member of the scientific teams – contribute at team meetings by presenting data and looking for opportunities for innovation.
- Serve as part of an on-call rotation, providing timely response to after-hours alarms, incidents, and critical operational issues.
- Maintain training and compliance in areas of health and safety, security, environmental and operational aspects of daily activities in the working environment.
- Actively seek opportunities to develop the service by discussion with the team leader and customer or by sharing the best practice(s) with other groups.
- Work independently and flexibly depending on team priorities and set realistic work schedules to support requirements.
- Support management of daily workflow within the department.
Qualifications

- Basic Qualifications: BS or equivalent in a relevant scientific subject (e.g. biology, biotechnology, or biomedical sciences) with 1+ years of working experience OR Associate’s degree in biology, chemistry or other relevant disciplines with 3+ years of working experience.
- Knowledgeable in good laboratory practices and laboratory safety practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two or more years working within a laboratory environment.
- Hands-on experience with a variety of cell biology, biochemistry, or analytical chemistry techniques.
- Experience with Good Documentation Practice.
- Experience with customer service.
- Supervisor or management experience.
