Responsibilities

  • Perform sample management and archive tasks, including labeling, receipt, transferring, tracking, inventory, archival, shipping, and disposal of samples and materials.
  • Execute sample accession core tasks: box opening, inventory/labeling, receipt/store, and pulls/returns.
  • Use tracking systems to maintain sample and study integrity.
  • Accurately interpret protocols and relevant documentation (e.g., Sample Analysis Outline, client paperwork).
  • Document and communicate discrepancies to appropriate personnel; assist with problem-solving.
  • Maintain client and business confidentiality.
  • Contribute to a cohesive team environment and communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Support process improvement initiatives.
  • Adhere to company Global/Regional/Local SOPs and comply with Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations.
  • Monitor environmental systems as appropriate and maintain storage units.
  • Follow company procedures for security, access, data integrity, and sample integrity.
  • Perform Kit Receipt processes (batch/non-batch, ambient/frozen/combo) at above-average production rates and quality.
  • Process Hold Logs and NPATs independently.
  • Resolve problem samples from labs or received kits.
  • Foster a team environment across all LPS areas.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma.
  • One year of work experience.

Qualifications

  • Preferred: Three months of Labcorp sample handling experience.
  • Preferred: Associate’s degree.

Additional Job Standards

  • Physical requirements include standing, bending, reaching, and lifting (up to 25 kg/50 lbs frequently).
  • Repetitive motion involving samples and computer terminal use.
  • Work in a high-volume, high-production laboratory environment, which may be noisy.
  • Exposure to potentially contaminated substances.
  • Weekend and public holiday work may be required.
  • Overtime may be required.

Pay

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills, prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, internal equity, and market data.
