Sample Custodian - Eurofins Environment Testing South Central - Midland, TX

About the role

Eurofins Environment Testing is seeking a Sample Custodian to join our team. This position assists and oversees all aspects of shipping, receiving, storing, distributing, and logging samples.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples from processing
• Accepts and signs for deliveries
• Assists in unloading shipments from delivery truck
• Uses dollies, forklifts, and other moving equipment to transport shipments from loading dock and around Sample Receiving area
• Opens coolers and inspects contents of shipments. Checks documentation to ensure all samples are accounted for
• Distributes samples in different departments as appropriate
• Follows strict safety and quality control procedures
• Stores, restocks, and shelves samples as necessary
• Ensures that work area is clean and organized
• Enters records in LIMS system

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required
• Pays close attention to detail
• Physical strength necessary to lift and move heavy boxes received by the lab
• Competent in using LIMS software
• Basic math skills
• Works well with a team
• Communicates clearly and effectively
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Handles issues calmly and politely
• Manages time efficiently
• Solid problem-solving skills
• Operates forklifts and other equipment to move heavy shipments
• Awareness of safety procedures

Additional Information

This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday starting at 8:30 am to 5:30 pm with overtime and weekends as needed.

Compensation Range: $19-21 / hour.
