Responsibilities

• Manage all salon operations and provide leadership and tools for success.
• Help staff increase their clientele and grow the business.
• Focus on salon profitability and teach stylists business fundamentals.
• Set an example by providing all hair care services offered by Smartstyle, ensuring high-quality service for each guest.
• Act as a coach and mentor to foster a positive work environment.
• Handle hiring, recruitment, training, conflicts, and client complaints professionally.

Qualifications

• Lead by example with a strong customer service focus and professional conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to train, develop, and motivate your team while maintaining a positive work environment.
• Provide guidance on business and technical competency matters, keeping the salon’s profitability in mind.
• Hold a current cosmetology or barber license as required by state/provincial regulations.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Tech-savvy with the ability to perform administrative tasks, including closing out systems.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and basic math.
• Available to travel to mandatory meetings and training sessions, including overnight travel.

Physical Requirements

• Good eyesight, including close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to stand, lift, bend, and perform repetitive movements, occasionally lifting 10-25 lbs.
• Comfortable working with chemicals and fragrances used in treatments.
