Responsibilities
- Connect and warmly greet clients, discover why they’ve arrived at Focas Salon, guide them through their visit while providing solutions and informing assigned stylists of their arrival if they’re receiving services
- Book and confirm appointments via phone, email, and text
- Process transactions (cash and credit cards) and issue digital receipts
- Offer beverages
- Chat with clients who are in the waiting area
- Welcome walk-ins, answer questions about services and products, and schedule appointments based on availability
- Inform clients about new services and promotions
- Cross-sell services and products when appropriate (e.g. through informative brochures and gift cards)
- Upgrade services and products when appropriate
- Update client records with contact and billing details, appointments and services offered
- Manage our call center
- Maintain a tidy reception area and store front
- Maintain and re-stock bathrooms
- Re-stock business cards, brochures and stationery as needed
Skills
- Hands-on experience with office equipment, like printers and POS systems
- Familiarity with processing transactions
- Excellent communication abilities (verbal, phone, email and text) with a customer service attitude
- Solid organization and record-keeping skills
- An ability to remain calm under stressful circumstances
- High School diploma
Working Conditions
This position will be working primarily indoors in a smoke free, temperature-controlled salon environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud at times. Music plays at all times. The energy level can, at times, be high and chaotic. This position requires you to be on your feet all day, while moving around a lot.
