About the Role

We are seeking entry-level Salespersons and Store Drivers to support our DIY business and commercial customer needs. These roles are essential in achieving our sales and service objectives, ensuring excellent customer experiences, and maintaining store operations.

Responsibilities

Salesperson:

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls
• Achieve personal sales goals and help the store meet its sales targets
• Perform DIY services such as battery installation, testing, and wiper installs
• Maintain store product and operational standards
• Manage inventory processes, including truck put away, shoot outs, cycle counts, and back stock
• Ensure store cleanliness, including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot
• Assist with general stocking, including truck stocking and back stock
• Safely deliver parts to customers as needed

Store Driver:

• Safely deliver parts to commercial customers
• Pick and stage parts for customer orders
• Pick up returns and cores
• Distribute weekly/monthly sales flyers
• Collect credit accounts daily
• Ensure store cleanliness, including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot
• Assist with general stocking, including truck stocking and back stock

Requirements

Salesperson:

• Basic automotive system knowledge and part knowledge
• Ability to source from stores, hubs, PDQ, and external suppliers
• In-depth knowledge of store inventory and maintenance processes
• Fleet safety certification preferred
• 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment

Store Driver:

• Basic driving and navigation ability
• Ability to use the delivery board system
• Friendly communication skills
• Ability to locate and stock parts
• Safety knowledge and skills
• Experience with inventory systems (Back stock) and store equipment
• Automotive parts experience preferred
• Valid driver's license and fleet safety certification required

Qualifications

• Speak and write English (Spanish a plus)
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals
• Perform basic math: add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
• Ability to work days, evenings, and weekends as needed

Skills

• Effective communication and relationship-building with customers, peers, and management
• Proficiency in operating POS and parts lookup systems
• Expertise in testing and diagnostic equipment for DIY services (Salesperson)

Physical Demands

• Predominantly walking or standing
• Ability to talk, hear, and use hands/fingers for handling and feeling
• Reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift/move up to 100 pounds
• Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Work Environment

• Predominantly indoor work with occasional outdoor exposure to weather conditions
• Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, chemicals, electrical shock, explosives, and vibration
• Moderate noise level
