This posting combines two related roles: Salesperson and Store Driver. Both positions can be part-time or full-time.

About the Roles

Salesperson: Entry-level sales position supporting the DIY business. The role requires good knowledge of store systems, basic automotive system knowledge, and basic part knowledge. Responsibilities include sourcing parts from stores, hubs, PDQ, and external suppliers, as well as maintaining in-depth knowledge of store inventory and maintenance processes. Fleet safety certification is preferred.

Store Driver: Entry-level position focused on delivering parts to commercial customers and assisting with store tasks and inventory processes. Fleet safety certification is required.

Responsibilities

Salesperson

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls.
• Achieve personal sales goals and help the store meet its sales targets.
• Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, and wiper installs.
• Maintain store product and operational standards.
• Handle inventory processes including truck put-away, shoot-outs, cycle counts, and back stock management.
• Assist with store cleanliness, including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot maintenance.
• Perform general stocking, including truck stocking and back stock.
• Safely deliver parts to customers as needed.

Store Driver

• Safely deliver parts to customers as needed.
• Pick and stage parts for customer orders.
• Pick up returns and cores.
• Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers.
• Perform daily collection of credit accounts.
• Assist with store cleanliness, including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot maintenance.
• Perform general stocking, including truck stocking and back stock.

Requirements

• Speak and write English (Spanish a plus); communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers, and management.
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
• Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
• Must have a valid driver’s license (Store Driver role requires fleet safety certification).

Qualifications

Salesperson

• 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment, providing superior customer experiences.

Store Driver

• Automotive parts experience is preferred.

Physical Demands

• Predominantly walking or standing during work hours.
• Ability to talk, hear, and use hands/fingers to handle or feel.
• Reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

• Primarily working inside, but occasionally outside and exposed to various weather conditions (e.g., installing batteries and wiper blades).
• Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, high or precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, explosives, and vibration.
• Moderate noise level in the work environment.

Pay

The good faith estimate for these roles is between $13.50 USD and $14.61 USD per hour for a new team member. The rate offered depends on geographic location, experience in retail, automotive knowledge, education, leadership roles, and shift differential (if applicable).
