Salesperson/Store Driver Store 8717

This posting combines two related roles: Salesperson and Store Driver. Both positions can be part-time or full-time.

About the Role

Entry-level positions supporting either the DIY business (Salesperson) or parts delivery to commercial customers (Store Driver). Both roles require basic automotive and parts knowledge, store system familiarity, and fleet safety certification (preferred for Salesperson, required for Driver).

Responsibilities

Salesperson

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls
• Achieve personal and store sales goals
• Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, and wiper installs
• Maintain store product and operational standards
• Manage inventory processes including truck put away, shoot outs, cycle counts, and back stock
• Store cleanliness: floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot
• General stocking including truck stocking and back stock
• Safely deliver parts to customers as needed

Store Driver

• Safely deliver parts to customers as needed
• Pick and stage parts for customer orders
• Pick up returns and cores
• Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyer
• Daily collection of credit accounts
• Store cleanliness: floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot
• General stocking including truck stocking and back stock

Qualifications

• Speak and write English (Spanish a plus); communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers, and management
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals
• Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed

Preferred Experience

Salesperson

• 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment, providing superior customer experiences

Store Driver

• Automotive parts experience

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• Valid driver’s license
• Fleet safety certification (required for Driver, preferred for Salesperson)

Physical Demands

• Predominantly walking or standing
• Talking, hearing, and using hands/fingers to handle or feel
• Reaching with hands and arms; climbing or balancing; stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
• Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Work Environment

• Primarily indoors, occasionally outdoors exposed to various weather conditions (e.g., installing batteries and wiper blades)
• Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, high/precarious places, toxic/caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, explosives, and vibration
• Moderate noise level

Pay

Good faith estimate for new team members: $16.40 – $17.75 USD per hour. Rate depends on geographic location, experience in retail, automotive knowledge, education, leadership roles, and shift differential (if applicable).
