Salesperson/Store Driver Store 8140

This posting includes two roles: Salesperson and Store Driver. Both positions can be part-time or full-time.

About the Role

Entry-level position supporting the DIY business, achieving sales and service objectives. Requires knowledge of store systems, basic automotive systems, and part knowledge. Ability to source parts from stores, hubs, PDQ, and external suppliers, with in-depth knowledge of store inventory and maintenance processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls.
• Achieve personal and store sales goals.
• Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, and wiper installs.
• Maintain store product and operational standards.
• Manage inventory processes including truck put-away, shoot-outs, cycle counts, and back stock.
• Ensure store cleanliness, including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot maintenance.
• General stocking, including truck stocking and back stock.
• Safely deliver parts to customers as needed.

Requirements

• Speak and write English (Spanish a plus); communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers, and management.
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
• Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
• Fleet safety certification preferred.

Qualifications

2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment, providing superior customer experiences.

About the Driver Role

Entry-level position supporting delivery of parts to commercial customers. Responsible for delivering parts, assisting with tasks, and managing inventory processes in the store. Fleet safety certification required.

Responsibilities

• Safely deliver parts to customers as needed.
• Pick and stage parts for customer orders.
• Pick up returns and cores.
• Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers.
• Daily collection of credit accounts.
• Store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot maintenance.
• General stocking including truck stocking and back stock.

Requirements

• Communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers, and management.
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
• Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be fleet safety certified.

Qualifications

Automotive parts experience is preferred.

Physical Demands

• Predominantly walking or standing.
• Ability to talk, hear, and use hands/fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

• Primarily indoors, with occasional outdoor exposure to weather conditions (e.g., installing batteries and wiper blades).
• Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, high/precarious places, toxic/caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, explosives, and vibration.
• Moderate noise level in the work environment.
