This posting includes two roles: Salesperson and Store Driver. Both positions can be part time or full time.

About the Salesperson Role

Entry-level sales position supporting the DIY business with sales and service objectives. The role requires good knowledge of store systems, basic automotive system knowledge, and basic part knowledge. Responsibilities include sourcing from stores, hubs, PDQ, and external suppliers, as well as in-depth knowledge of store inventory and maintenance processes. Fleet safety certification is preferred.

Responsibilities (Salesperson)

  • Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls
  • Achieve personal sales goals and help the store meet its sales targets
  • Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, and wiper installs
  • Maintain store product and operational standards
  • Manage inventory processes including truck put-away, shoot-outs, cycle counts, and back stock
  • Ensure store cleanliness, including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot maintenance
  • General stocking, including truck stocking and back stock
  • Safely deliver parts to customers as needed

About the Store Driver Role

Entry-level position focused on delivering parts to commercial customers and assisting with store tasks and inventory processes. Fleet safety certification is required.

Responsibilities (Store Driver)

  • Safely deliver parts to customers as needed
  • Pick and stage parts for customer orders
  • Pick up returns and cores
  • Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers
  • Daily collection of credit accounts
  • Ensure store cleanliness, including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot maintenance
  • General stocking, including truck stocking and back stock

Success Factors (Both Roles)

  • Basic driving and navigation ability
  • Ability to use a delivery board system
  • Friendly communication
  • Ability to locate and stock parts
  • Safety knowledge and skills
  • Operating inventory systems and store equipment
  • Parts and automotive system knowledge (Salesperson)
  • Operating POS and parts lookup systems (Salesperson)
  • Expertise with testing and diagnostic equipment for DIY service (Salesperson)

Qualifications (Both Roles)

  • Speak and write English (Spanish a plus); communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers, and management
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals
  • Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed

Preferred Experience

  • Salesperson: 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment, providing superior customer experiences
  • Store Driver: Automotive parts experience is preferred

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Fleet safety certification (required for Store Driver, preferred for Salesperson)
