Salesperson/Store Driver Store 7464

This posting combines two related entry-level roles: Salesperson and Store Driver. Both positions can be part-time or full-time.

About the Roles

Salesperson: Supports the DIY business with sales and service objectives. Requires knowledge of store systems, basic automotive systems, and parts. Responsible for sourcing from stores, hubs, PDQ, and external suppliers, and maintaining in-depth knowledge of store inventory and processes.

Store Driver: Supports delivery of parts to commercial customers and assists with store tasks and inventory. Must be fleet safety certified.

Responsibilities

Salesperson

• Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls
• Achieve personal and store sales goals
• Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, and wiper installs
• Maintain store product and operational standards
• Manage inventory processes: truck put away, shoot outs, cycle counts, back stock
• Store cleanliness: floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot
• General stocking: truck stocking and back stock
• Safely deliver parts to customers as needed

Store Driver

• Safely deliver parts to customers as needed
• Pick and stage parts for customer orders
• Pick up returns and cores
• Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyer
• Daily collection of credit accounts
• Store cleanliness: floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot
• General stocking: truck stocking and back stock

Requirements

• Speak and write English (Spanish a plus); communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers, and management
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals
• Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed
• Fleet safety certification preferred (required for Store Driver)
• Valid driver’s license (required for Store Driver)

Qualifications

Salesperson

• 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment, providing superior customer experiences

Store Driver

• Automotive parts experience preferred

Physical Demands

• Predominantly walking or standing
• Talking, hearing, and using hands/fingers to handle or feel
• Reaching with hands and arms; climbing or balancing; stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
• Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Work Environment

• Primarily indoors; occasional outdoor tasks (e.g., installing batteries and wiper blades) with exposure to various weather conditions
• Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, high/precarious places, toxic/caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, explosives, and vibration
• Moderate noise level

Pay

Good faith estimate for this role is between $13.50 USD and $14.61 USD per hour for a new team member. Rate depends on geographic location, experience in retail, automotive knowledge, education, leadership roles, and shift differential (if applicable).
