Salesperson/Store Driver Store 7248
This posting combines two related roles: Salesperson and Store Driver. Both positions can be part-time or full-time.
About the Role
Entry-level positions supporting the DIY business and commercial parts delivery. Both roles require basic automotive system and parts knowledge, the ability to source parts from various locations, and familiarity with store inventory and maintenance processes.
Responsibilities
Salesperson
- Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls
- Achieve personal sales goals and help the store meet its sales targets
- Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, and wiper installs
- Maintain store product and operational standards
- Manage inventory processes including truck put-away, shoot-outs, cycle counts, and back stock
- Ensure store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot
- General stocking including truck stocking and back stock
- Safely deliver parts to customers as needed
Store Driver
- Safely deliver parts to commercial customers
- Pick and stage parts for customer orders
- Pick up returns and cores
- Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers
- Daily collection of credit accounts
- Ensure store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot
- General stocking including truck stocking and back stock

Qualifications
- Speak and write English (Spanish a plus); communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers, and management
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals
- Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to work a variety of days, evenings, and weekends as needed
Preferred Experience
Salesperson
- 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment, providing superior customer experiences
Store Driver
- Automotive parts experience
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Fleet safety certification preferred (required for Store Driver)
Physical Demands
- Predominantly walking or standing
- Ability to talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to handle or feel
- Reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Work Environment
- Primarily indoors, but occasionally outdoors exposed to various weather conditions (e.g., installing batteries and wiper blades)
- Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, high or precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, explosives, and vibration
- Moderate noise level
Pay
The good faith estimate for this role is between $16.40 USD and $17.75 USD per hour for a new team member. The rate offered depends on geographic location, experience in retail, automotive knowledge, education, leadership roles, and other relevant skillsets. Shift differential may apply.
