Salesperson/Store Driver Store 4759
This posting combines two related entry-level roles: Salesperson and Store Driver. Both positions can be part-time or full-time.
About the Role
Salesperson: Supports the DIY business, achieves sales and service objectives, and has basic knowledge of store systems, automotive systems, and parts. The role involves sourcing from stores, hubs, PDQ, and external suppliers, with in-depth knowledge of store inventory and maintenance processes.
Store Driver: Supports delivery of parts to commercial customers and assists with task and inventory processes in the store. Fleet safety certification is required.
Responsibilities
Salesperson
- Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls
- Achieve personal sales goals and help the store meet its sales targets
- Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, and wiper installs
- Maintain store product and operational standards
- Handle inventory processes including truck put-away, shoot-outs, cycle counts, and back stock
Secondary Responsibilities (Salesperson & Driver)
- Maintain store cleanliness (floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot)
- General stocking including truck stocking and back stock
Store Driver
- Safely deliver parts to customers as needed
- Pick and stage parts for customer orders
- Pick up returns and cores
- Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers
- Daily collection of credit accounts

Qualifications
- Speak and write English (Spanish a plus); communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers, and management
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals
- Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed
Preferred Experience
Salesperson
- 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment, providing superior customer experiences
Store Driver
- Automotive parts experience preferred
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Valid driver’s license
- Fleet safety certification (required for Driver role, preferred for Salesperson)
Physical Demands
- Predominantly walking or standing
- Talking, hearing, and using hands/fingers to handle or feel
- Reaching with hands and arms; climbing or balancing; stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
- Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Work Environment
- Primarily indoors, with occasional outdoor exposure to weather conditions (e.g., installing batteries and wiper blades)
- Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, high/precarious places, toxic/caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, explosives, and vibration
- Moderate noise level
Pay
The good faith estimate for this role is between $14.90 USD and $16.13 USD per hour for a new team member. The rate depends on geographic location, experience in retail, automotive knowledge, education, leadership roles, and other relevant skillsets. Shift differential may apply.
