Salesperson/Store Driver Store 2330
Two entry-level roles are open: Salesperson (supporting DIY customers) and Store Driver (delivering parts to commercial accounts). Both positions can be part-time or full-time.
About the role
Salesperson: supports the DIY business, achieves sales and service objectives, and maintains in-depth knowledge of store inventory and automotive systems. Fleet safety certification is preferred.
Store Driver: delivers parts to commercial customers, assists with inventory tasks, and must be fleet safety certified.
Responsibilities
Salesperson
- Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls
- Achieve personal and store sales goals
- Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, and wiper installs
- Maintain store product and operational standards
- Manage inventory processes: truck put away, shoot outs, cycle counts, back stock
- Store cleanliness: floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot
- General stocking: truck stocking and back stock
- Safely deliver parts to customers as needed
Store Driver
- Safely deliver parts to customers as needed
- Pick and stage parts for customer orders
- Pick up returns and cores
- Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyer
- Daily collection of credit accounts
- Store cleanliness: floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot
- General stocking: truck stocking and back stock
Requirements
- Basic driving and navigation ability
- Ability to use delivery board system
- Friendly communication
- Ability to locate and stock parts
- Safety knowledge and skills
- Operating inventory systems and store equipment
- Parts and automotive system knowledge (Salesperson)
- Operating POS and parts lookup systems (Salesperson)
- Expertise with testing and diagnostic equipment for DIY service (Salesperson)
- Speak and write English (Spanish a plus); communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers, and management
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals
- Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed
- Valid driver’s license and fleet safety certification (Driver)
Qualifications
Salesperson
- 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment, providing superior customer experiences
Store Driver
- Automotive parts experience preferred
Physical Demands
- Predominantly walking or standing
- Talking, hearing, and using hands to handle or feel
- Reaching with hands and arms; climbing or balancing; stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
- Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Work Environment
- Primarily indoors; occasional outdoor tasks (e.g., installing batteries and wiper blades) in various weather conditions
- Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, explosives, and vibration
- Moderate noise level
Pay
Good-faith estimate for new team members: $13.50 – $14.61 USD per hour. Rate depends on geographic location, experience, automotive knowledge, education, leadership roles, and shift differential (if applicable).
