This posting combines two related roles: Salesperson and Store Driver. Both positions can be part-time or full-time.
About the Role
Entry-level positions supporting either DIY customer sales and service or parts delivery to commercial customers. Both roles require fleet safety certification and involve maintaining store operations and inventory.
Salesperson Responsibilities
- Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls
- Achieve personal sales goals and help the store meet its sales targets
- Perform DIY services including battery installation, testing, and wiper installs
- Maintain store product and operational standards
- Manage inventory processes: truck put-away, shoot-outs, cycle counts, back stock
Store Driver Responsibilities
- Safely deliver parts to customers as needed
- Pick and stage parts for customer orders
- Pick up returns and cores
- Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers
- Perform daily collection of credit accounts
Secondary Responsibilities (Both Roles)
- Maintain store cleanliness: floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot
- General stocking including truck stocking and back stock

Essential Job Skills
- Speak and write English (Spanish a plus); communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers, and management
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals
- Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment (Salesperson, preferred)
- Automotive parts experience (Driver, preferred)
- Valid driver’s license and fleet safety certification (required for both roles)
Physical Demands
- Predominantly walking or standing
- Talking, hearing, and using hands/fingers to handle or feel
- Reaching with hands and arms; climbing or balancing; stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
- Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Work Environment
- Primarily indoors, with occasional outdoor tasks (e.g., installing batteries and wiper blades)
- Exposure to various weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, high/precarious places, toxic/caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, explosives, and vibration
- Moderate noise level
Pay
Good faith estimate: $13.50 – $14.61 USD per hour for new team members. Rate depends on geographic location, experience, automotive knowledge, education, leadership roles, and shift differential (if applicable).
