Salesperson/Store Driver Store 2112
This posting includes two distinct roles: Salesperson and Store Driver. Both positions can be part-time or full-time.
About the Roles
Salesperson: Entry-level sales position supporting the DIY business. Requires knowledge of store systems, basic automotive systems, and parts. Responsibilities include sourcing from stores, hubs, PDQ, and external suppliers, as well as managing store inventory and maintenance processes. Fleet safety certification is preferred.
Store Driver: Entry-level position focused on delivering parts to commercial customers and assisting with store tasks and inventory. Fleet safety certification is required.
Responsibilities
Salesperson
- Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls.
- Achieve personal and store sales goals.
- Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, and wiper installs.
- Maintain store product and operational standards.
- Manage inventory processes including truck put away, shoot outs, cycle counts, and back stock.
Store Driver
- Safely deliver parts to customers as needed.
- Pick and stage parts for customer orders.
- Pick up returns and cores.
- Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers.
- Perform daily collection of credit accounts.
Shared Responsibilities
- Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot.
- General stocking including truck stocking and back stock.
Success Factors
- Basic driving and navigation ability.

- Operating inventory systems and store equipment.
- Parts and automotive system knowledge.

Requirements
- Speak and write English (Spanish a plus); communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers, and management.
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
- Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
Qualifications
Salesperson
- 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment, providing superior customer experiences.
Store Driver
- Automotive parts experience is preferred.
- Must have a valid driver's license and be fleet safety certified.
Physical Demands
- Predominantly walking or standing.
- Ability to talk, hear, and use hands/fingers to handle or feel.
- Reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
- Primarily indoors, but occasional outdoor tasks (e.g., installing batteries and wiper blades) expose employees to various weather conditions.
- Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, high/precarious places, toxic/caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, explosives, and vibration.
- Moderate noise level in the work environment.
Pay
The estimated compensation range for these roles is $13.50 USD to $14.61 USD per hour for new team members. The rate depends on geographic location, retail experience, automotive knowledge, education, leadership roles, and shift differential (if applicable).
