About the role
The Salesforce Technical Lead serves as the primary technical architect for the University’s Salesforce ecosystem. This role is responsible for the platform's structural integrity, scalability, and long-term health, and brings technical architecture expertise to ensure these practices are implemented.
Responsibilities
- Translates business requirements into solutions that best leverage the Salesforce platform and various integrations.
- Serves as the primary Salesforce technical expert, providing technical advice, design direction, and leadership to all team members to advance projects.
- Designs, recommends, and documents solutions that leverage Salesforce best practices and introduce new technologies when necessary.
- Designs, builds, and configures applications that are highly functional, scalable, and easily maintained.
- Develops end-to-end Salesforce solutions, including custom platform development (APEX, Triggers, Lightning Web Components, Flow orchestration, etc.) and external data integrations with middleware tools and Salesforce APIs.
- Establishes and leads a platform governance framework to sequence project requests that maintain architectural standards.
- Participates in and guides code reviews and unit testing to ensure alignment with team development standards.
- Collaborates on the effective management of the CI/CD pipeline and version control (e.g., GitHub,) to ensure smooth deployments across environments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technology field or 7+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of 3 years of technology architecture experience in Salesforce Architecture, including but not limited to: Sales, Service, CRM Analytics (CRMA), Experience, and Marketing Clouds.
- Hold Certifications: Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I and II.
- Experience establishing code version control and CI/CD pipelines.
Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with various stakeholders, including faculty, administrative staff, and technology partners.
- Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with a proactive, self-directed work style.
- Ability to simplify complex technical concepts and lead stakeholders through solution tradeoffs.
- Proven background in solution architecture, and/or technical consulting.
- Deep understanding of the Salesforce security model.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications, experience, and skills.
Pay
$116,000 - $140,000
Schedule
Hybrid schedule with 35 scheduled hours per week.
