About the Role

As a Salesforce developer, you will work closely with other developers, product owners, test engineers, and architects to ensure the timely and effective delivery of Salesforce requirements in a variety of industry contexts. You'll work in all aspects of the Salesforce development lifecycle, including configuration, customization, and implementation of applications and 3rd party integrations. You’ll also serve as an advisor to our clients, providing guidance on adopting new technologies or adding new features to support their mission. This role offers impact from day one, applying extensive experience developing on the Salesforce platform while following best practices and utilizing declarative capabilities where appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with team members and write clean, maintainable Apex code while keeping governor limits in mind.
• Develop using web technologies such as Lightning Web Components and the platform’s declarative capabilities.
• Advise government clients on improving and modernizing their existing systems.
• Integrate Salesforce with external systems and applications using REST and SOAP APIs, Batch, and Async processes.
• Commit code and metadata to Git repositories and use Salesforce DevOps tools like GitHub, Copado, Salesforce DX, and Flosum.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with Salesforce platform development, including Apex, JavaScript, Visualforce pages, and Aura Components or Lightning Web Components.
• 3+ years of experience with software engineering or software development.
• Experience integrating Salesforce with external systems using REST and SOAP APIs, Batch, and Async processes.
• Knowledge of version control systems, including Git and Bitbucket.
• Knowledge of the Salesforce development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
• Secret clearance (required).
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Salesforce Platform Developer I Certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Java, Python, C#, Kotlin, C/C++, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL.
• Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
• Salesforce Platform Developer II Certification, JavaScript Developer Certification, or Omnistudio Developer Certification.

Pay

Salary is determined by various factors, including location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD).

Schedule

This role may be remote, hybrid, or onsite:

• Remote: Primarily virtual, with occasional in-person work at a Booz Allen or customer facility.
• Hybrid: Frequent work from a Booz Allen facility, with potential visits to customer sites as needed.
• Onsite: Work primarily performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility, with direct collaboration required.

Employees working virtually are generally expected to have their cameras on during meetings to support engagement and effective communication.
