Programmer Analyst position with the Michigan Enterprise Contact Center team at the Department of Technology, Management, and Budget.
About the role
As a Salesforce Developer, you’ll develop, design, and implement customizable solutions within Salesforce based on CRM needs. You will work closely with colleagues, customers, and end users to define technical requirements and ensure solutions align with long-term client strategy and security standards.
Responsibilities
- Define technical requirements for new projects and future enhancements, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and performance goals.
- Own release cycles to implement and deploy new or updated applications and code.
- Compile and enforce internal development guidelines and standards for the team.
- Collaborate with developers of other systems to integrate across the business.
- Ensure proposed solutions adhere to security guidelines and standards throughout the application lifecycle.
- Communicate strategic technical concepts at an executive level and serve as a trusted advisor in decision-making.
- Devise training plans for the development team to facilitate a smooth transition to Maintenance & Operations.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge and experience in Service Cloud and Experience Cloud.
- Participate in full Salesforce.com lifecycle implementations.
- Develop using Apex programming, Visualforce pages, Apex triggers, Aura Components, and Lightning Web Components (LWC).
- Implement no-code solutions such as Flows, Process Builders, and Workflow Rules.
- Gather requirements and drive implementation of technical solutions with technical managers, architects, and business stakeholders.
- Integrate Salesforce with cloud-based and on-premises applications using REST APIs.
- Implement authentication protocols (e.g., OAuth) for third-party integrations.
- Develop and manage Batch Apex and/or Scheduled Apex.
- Own end-to-end technical aspects of Salesforce programs, including data migrations, integrations, and custom development.
- Define, communicate, and manage technical change management processes for Salesforce efforts.
- Assess Salesforce architecture and provide secure, high-performance solutions on the Force.com platform.
- Design and document technical architecture solutions spanning multiple platforms.
- Support SFDX development, branch management, merging, and code deployment using Azure DevOps CI/CD.
- Identify technical risks and issues.
Requirements
- 6+ years of strong Salesforce development experience.
- 4+ years of experience developing within the Salesforce platform using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura, HTML5, and JavaScript.
- 5+ years of experience working with Service Cloud.
- 5+ years of experience working with Salesforce Digital Experience Sites.
- Strong experience migrating from Classic to Lightning.
- Experience migrating legacy Visualforce Portals to Digital Experience Sites.
- 5+ years of experience with GoMeddo Scheduling customization or equivalent scheduling products.
- 5+ years of experience with Conga Composer.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Lightning, including LWC.
- Proven ability to work under dynamic conditions and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II.
- Salesforce Experience Cloud certification.
- 5+ years of experience working with Health Cloud.
- 2+ years of experience with API integrations and Single Sign-On (SSO) implementations.
- Experience using Microsoft Azure DevOps or comparable tools for CI/CD or release management.
- Exposure to data migration and cloud integration projects.
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I and Salesforce Certified Administrator.
- Familiarity with governmental processes and compliance, including FedRAMP-compliant tools.
