Salesforce Application Architect – Billing & Downstream Integrations

Trimble is looking for a passionate Salesforce Functional Application Architect to lead our strategic billing and downstream integration workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the end-to-end functional architecture for subscription, usage-based, and hybrid billing models within Salesforce.
• Arc seamless, high-volume data integrations between Salesforce Billing and downstream enterprise ERP, revenue recognition, tax, and payment platforms.
• Transform high-level business requirement epics into detailed functional specifications, user stories, and technical blueprints in an agile environment.
• Collaborate closely with global finance, revenue operations, and engineering stakeholders across multiple time zones to align billing outputs with financial controls.
• Troubleshoot and optimize complex invoice generation, proration logic, and system synchronization processes to maximize operational efficiency.

Requirements

• 6 or more years of experience within the Salesforce ecosystem, with a deep functional focus on Salesforce Billing.
• A proven track record of designing complex integrations between billing applications and downstream ERP or financial systems.
• A comprehensive understanding of the full quote-to-cash lifecycle, subscription management, and financial reconciliation.
• Demonstrated experience collaborating effectively with globally distributed teams and working with tools like Jira and Confluence.
• Bonus points for experience integrating Salesforce Billing specifically with enterprise ERPs like SAP or Oracle. Familiarity with specialized revenue recognition platforms, tax engines, and payment gateways.
• Experience operating within high-volume, enterprise-scale monetization and billing environments.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in Salesforce implementation and customization.
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce API, SOQL, SOSL, and Apex programming.
• Experience with integration technologies such as MuleSoft, Zapier, or similar platforms.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including finance, IT, and sales.

Skills

• Proficiency in Salesforce CRM platform.
• Experience with Salesforce Billing and downstream integrations.
• Knowledge of ERP systems and their integration with Salesforce.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

$144,600.00–$198,800.00
