Salesclerk (PT, Days)

Essential Functions

• Help customers locate merchandise and inform them of any product knowledge that may be helpful.
• Verify proper product rotation and basic stocking of merchandise.
• Operate handheld Telxon and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Remove damaged merchandise from the floor as needed.
• Follow company guidelines for department merchandising and setting store ads.
• Absorb and communicate special order requests and sales.
• Attend store and job-related meetings and complete required in-store trainings.
• Communicate effectively with customers, management, and all employees.
• Follow all applicable Company, local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Absorb and ensure a clean work area with sufficient supplies to complete assigned duties.
• Operate cash registers and assist with customer carry-outs on an as-needed basis.
• Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays (No Exceptions).
• Able to operate pallet jacks, tow motors, or learn to do so.
• Weightlifting capability up to and including 50 lbs.
• Consistent attendance for regularly scheduled work shifts is required.
• Other duties and responsibilities may be required to meet the needs of the business.

Additional Responsibilities

• Complete special projects as directed by management.

Minimum Requirements of Training and Experience

• Minimum age requirement is 16 years old.
• Must possess great customer service and communication skills.
