Sales Trainee
Responsibilities
- Generate leads and build relationships with homeowners to identify their roofing and exterior restoration needs
- Conduct property inspections (including roof assessments; must be comfortable climbing ladders)
- Educate customers on available products, warranties, and services
- Manage your customer pipeline and maintain consistent follow-up throughout the sales cycle
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience from inspection to project completion
- Represent Advocate Roofing’s brand and values with professionalism and integrity in every interaction
Requirements
- 1–3 years of sales, customer service, or related experience preferred
- Familiarity with roofing, solar, pest control, or other field-based industries a plus
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport and close deals
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Willingness to travel for annual sales training

Compensation & Schedule
- This role features a multi-tiered bonus structure designed to reward consistent performance and meaningful business impact.
- Team members are eligible for monthly and quarterly bonuses based on the quality and consistency of their customer-focused sales behaviors and the advancement of files through key stages of completion.
- An annual accelerator, tied directly to gross profit, further enhances earnings for those who deliver strong year-end results.
- On target year one earnings between $110,000 to $155,000.
- We provide comprehensive training, leading technology, and continuous support— no prior roofing experience required.
- The most successful representatives work flexible, customer-facing hours (10 a.m.–8 p.m., Monday–Friday, with Saturdays included).
