About the Role
As the Sales Territory Manager for San Diego, Las Vegas, and Hawaii, you will lead the launch and sales of Recor Medical’s Paradise™ Ultrasound Renal Denervation (uRDN) System—a non-drug, minimally invasive therapy for hypertension. You will drive adoption within assigned accounts, meet or exceed sales objectives, and report directly to the Regional Sales Director, Pacific Region.
Responsibilities
- Launch the Paradise™ uRDN System, the first renal denervation product in the market, by executing a strategic account plan to maximize device penetration.
- Navigate target accounts’ purchasing processes and Value Analysis Committees (VAC) by building key account champions and presenting a compelling value proposition.
- Increase sales by developing new users and focusing on high-volume hypertension prescribers and interventionalists.
- Collaborate with the team to share case experiences, challenges, and solutions to overcome obstacles.
- Develop and execute business plans, therapy awareness programs, and product development initiatives to grow the business.
- Build partnerships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and high-volume interventionalists to convert clinical relationships into commercial opportunities.
- Establish clinical confidence in the Paradise™ system among new and existing users, fellows, and support staff by setting clear expectations before, during, and after procedures.
- Anticipate and adapt to clinical challenges, coaching physicians and staff through complex situations.
- Drive adoption using corporate programs and resources, including customized training plans for physicians, administration, and staff.
- Articulate the clinical and economic value proposition to all stakeholders, leveraging success stories to reinforce adoption.
- Guide new users through the certification process and monitor consignment inventory, including expiry dates, within your territory.
- Provide market intelligence to sales management and contribute to sales forecasts and strategies.
- Negotiate all aspects of launching a new technology, including pricing, contracts, and implementation.
- Manage administrative functions, including time management, call activities, expense reports, travel itineraries, and territory coverage.
- Maintain accurate and timely records in the CRM (Salesforce) system.
- Adhere to customer account policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in science or business.
- 7-10+ years of interventional cardiology device selling experience in a complex, highly clinical hospital setting.
- Proven experience launching disruptive new technologies in cardiology and successfully changing treatment algorithms.
- Demonstrated success selling premium products by overcoming barriers to adoption with external customers, including interventional cardiologists, catheterization lab staff, purchasing directors, and hospital administration.
- Comfortable presenting clinical and economic data, interpreting trends, and delivering compelling presentations to physicians, hospital executives, and other stakeholders.
- Experience calling on multi-functional stakeholders in hospitals and building relationships with key thought leaders.
- Mastery of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and interventional procedures.
- Full understanding of interventional products and competitive offerings in the space.
- Consistent success working in varied business conditions and collaborative environments.
- Experience providing clinical training and leadership, with documented success in training interventional cardiologists on products and procedures.
- Strong skills in sales planning, organization, and execution, coupled with a passion for the mission.
Pay
Annual base salary range: $120,000–$140,000. The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.
