Sales Technician (NY region)

Role Overview

ABS Global, a Genus Company, seeks a Sales Technician. The position is based in the New York area, USA. The Sales Technician assists sales representatives, resellers, and customers throughout the sales process, addressing technical issues and maximizing product/service benefits.

Responsibilities

• Drive new business development and systematic direct semen sales to assigned producers, including heat detection and insemination services and breeding route development.
• Achieve area sales, unit blend, and service goals as outlined for each fiscal year.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer information within CRM systems.
• Understand and communicate the value of ABS products and services to customers.
• Evaluate opportunities for market penetration, including acquiring customers from competing AI organizations.
• Provide accurate and timely sales reports on progress toward established goals.
• Manage expenses, inventory, accounts receivable, and company assets within established guidelines.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries and internal communications.
• Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with customers, independent representatives, and internal teams.
• Represent ABS Global in alignment with company values and uphold Genus core values, mission, and vision.
• Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other projects and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Up to 90% travel within the assigned territory.
• Bachelor of Science degree or Associate degree in Agribusiness or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years combined insemination and sales experience preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Ability to work outside of normal business hours as needed.

Pay

The salary range for this position is ($55,000 – $75,000) USD. The salary provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Genus considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function, and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
