Responsibilities and Duties
- Sales
- Ensure customer service at the level set by the company’s core values
- Present revenue and profitability growth opportunities to the leadership team
- Develop and execute communication with commercial sales accounts
- Work with Store Managers on employee schedules
- Promote price match guarantee
- Help move Discontinued, Obsolete and special orders not picked up
- Seek out new customers through permits, developments, and new territories
- Review large customer accounts and keep them within boundaries
- Ensure sales team follows all GBLY’s policies and procedures
- Collaborate with commercial sales group, Store Managers, Director of Ops, and merchandising team
- Identify opportunities for revenue growth
- Showroom Presentation
- Work with store managers to maintain showroom standards
- Maintain activity with other retailers, competition, and out-of-industry
- Make suggestions to improve showrooms to increase sales
- HR
- Hire and train new members of the sales team
- Evaluate and correct training as needed
- Partner with merchandising team and coordinate regular product training
- Complete team evaluations and coaching
- Financials
- Manage and report on KPIs on a monthly/quarterly/yearly basis
- Plan who may need more guidance and training
- Review reporting and the performance of KPIs
- Manage all action plans related to the sales team
- Administration
- Attend meetings as needed
- Build processes for the sales team
- Ensure outside sales teams utilize their calendars
- Ensure sales team follows orders and customers through the sale/pickup/delivery process
- Communications
- Travel to all store locations as needed
- Respond to calls, emails, and texts within company protocol
- Ability to communicate well with all levels of personnel, management, and outside contacts
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Experience with Epicor software preferred
- Ability to work in a team environment and produce results with fellow team members
- 5+ years of sales experience in a retail environment
