Sales Team Lead- Upper Extremities
About the role
The Sales Team Lead at Zimmer Biomet is responsible for leading a team of sales reps within a defined territory to meet budgeted sales goals. This position drives sales growth through communication skills, knowledge of Zimmer Biomet products, and in-person meetings to assist current customers and secure new customers. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager/Director, the Sales Team Lead builds an effective sales pipeline and assists team members with building their sales pipeline, resulting in booked sales. They also manage and distribute leads, communicate with regional leaders, and report on competitor and customer activities.
Responsibilities
- Promotes team spirit and success in the assigned sales region, ensuring team sales targets are met through proper training, coaching, and management.
- Plans, coordinates, and executes local educational and sales events to augment the business and deliver budgeted sales goals.
- Manages and tracks leads using the sales system, reports on daily customer sales activity, and non-customer prospecting activities.
- Communicates with Regional Sales Leaders and other internal functions to ensure the voice of the customer is heard by internal departments.
- Builds strong relationships with key surgeons across various procedures including reconstructive, extremities, CAS, surgical, sports medicine, and trauma.
- Supports Zimmer Biomet sales by sharing knowledge, ideas, and references, collaborating with product support personnel, and providing sales support and case coverage.
- Adheres to all policies and SOPs regarding interactions with HCPs, product handling, complaints, expense reporting, sales activities, and training.
Requirements
- Must be mobile and willing to travel up to 95% predominantly by car.
- Willing and capable of carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
- Accurately completes tasks on time, paying close attention to detail.
- Communicates clearly in verbal and written forms in English.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Minimum of 5 years sales experience in medical device, surgical, or 8 years’ proven sales experience in the medical device industry.
Benefits
Salary for this role is $110,000 base, plus commission potential of $140-165k and a bonus of 10% at plan level. EOE/M/F/Vet/Disability.
