About the role

We're building out a dedicated sales function at Playbook and need a Sales Lead to own it. This person runs our creator acquisition pipeline end-to-end—from sourcing leads to closing deals—and also manages and develops the team doing it. Every new Creator Manager (CM) coming into Playbook will report through this function until we scale further.

Responsibilities

  • Daily Reporting: Track sourcing engine output, including new leads added to the database each day. Report on leads contacted, replied, on-call, and closed. Maintain a clean, organized database with proper tagging and labeling.
  • Day-to-Day Operations: Lead morning stand-ups and team check-ins. Review sales calls, provide coaching, and improve performance. Report on pipeline health and conversion rates.
  • Systems & Tools: Own the CRM and keep it clean and up to date. Manage the lead database and tracking tools. Oversee analytics, outreach scripts, pitch decks, and closing materials. Manage contracts and the closing process.
  • Training & Enablement: Build and maintain sourcing SOPs covering how we find, qualify, and approach creators. Own the Creator Manager onboarding and ramp-up process. Own the implementation of the Creator Manager onboarding process for new creators.
  • Team Leadership: Hire, manage, and replace team members as needed—own team performance. Monitor team capacity and identify when additional resources are needed. Own the team's close targets and hold everyone accountable for results.

Qualifications

  • A proven sales operator who has run a pipeline, hit quotas, and managed a team.
  • Data-driven and process-obsessed—you live in the CRM and know your numbers.
  • A strong coach who can review calls, diagnose issues, and improve performance.
  • Comfortable owning outcomes, not just activities.
  • Experience in the creator economy, influencer, talent, or marketplace sales is a strong plus.
