About the role
Riverhawk Company, a leading provider of innovative engineered solutions for rotating equipment and industrial applications, is seeking a Sales Support Specialist I to support its sales and customer service efforts.
Responsibilities
- Assist with order entry and customer correspondence following the receipt of customer orders.
- Aid in preparing quotations for price-listed products and services.
- Record information from customer follow-up calls, emails, and interactions within Riverhawk’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and other electronic databases.
- Aid in the preparation and submission of commercial proposals to customers and support customer communications throughout the sales process.
- Review incoming purchase orders to ensure compliance with Riverhawk proposals, pricing, and contractual requirements.
- Read, interpret, and understand purchase orders, contracts, and customer terms and conditions.
- Ensure all customers undergo Denied Party Screening in accordance with Riverhawk’s Export Control Procedures.
- Cook up shipping logistics and work closely with the Shipping and Receiving Manager to support on-time delivery requirements.
- Enter and maintain customer and prospect information obtained through trade shows, customer visits, and other business development activities within the CRM system.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical sales records and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with customers and internal departments to facilitate order processing and issue resolution.
- Aid with other administrative, customer service, and sales support duties as assigned.
- Maintain confidentiality of customer, pricing, and proprietary business information.
- Comply with all Riverhawk policies, procedures, and quality management system requirements.
- Abide by safety guidelines established by OSHA, DEC, and Riverhawk Company.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent; an Associate's Degree in Business or a related field preferred.
- A desire to work with all employees of the organization.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly.
- Employee will have strong computer skills—Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook) skills required.
- ERP skills required, Syteline experience preferred.
- Familiarity using a CRM preferred.
- Must be comfortable speaking with customers on the phone.
- Highly organized with strong time management skills.
- A friendly personality and an ability to work with all departments.
- Have the ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively.
- A basic understanding of ISO 9001/Riverhawk Quality Policy.
What you get
- Pay range - $19-22.00/hr (this range will vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, prior experience, knowledge, skill and education as they relate to the position's qualifications).
- 96 hours of PTO and an additional 56 hours of Paid Sick Leave annually for new hires, with additional PTO added after five years of service.

Pay and Schedule
The pay range for this position is $19-22.00/hr, with the actual salary varying based upon factors including, but not limited to, prior experience, knowledge, skill and education as they relate to the position's qualifications.
Schedule
This is a full time, first shift position (M-F 8:00am-4:30pm).
