Sales Support Specialist
About the role
The Sales Support Specialist is responsible for providing exceptional customer experience. They serve as a liaison between the sales team and customers, assisting with daily sales calls, giving information about products and services, taking orders, processing credits, and resolving product or service problems.
Responsibilities
- Upsell customers on new products, promotional items, push items directed by sales management and team leaders
- Notify and assist team leaders, account managers, buyers and operations by communication of customer's needs and preferences
- Maintain effective, professional relationships with restaurants, chefs, owners, and fellow employees
- Organize and provide assistance for special sales and promotion
- Affiliate with the sales team in customer inquiries, communication on needs or complaints as necessary
- Perform warehouse and quality control walks, SOP sheets and promotions with pictures updated daily/weekly
- Participate in special projects deemed necessary to the operation and wellbeing of the company
- Attend all sales meetings and appointments, (be on time, punctual)
- Be responsible for individual call sheet and assigned customers
- Ensure all orders are submitted before scheduled cut-off times
- Process and turn in credit memos, responsibility forms and other job-related paperwork within the set time lines
- Walk warehouse-checking product daily
Qualifications
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal human relations and teaming skills
- Quick and accurate with paperwork, figures, attentive to detail, and have good follow-through
- PC skills
- Flexible and able to deal with a variety of details simultaneously
- Proven problem-solving skills
- Skilled in time management and capable of meeting work schedule deadlines
- Excellent written, verbal and oral presentation skills
- An excellent work record with references from current and/or previous employers
- Ability to plan, organize, implement, and follow through on projects
Skills and Experience
- College degree or minimum high school diploma preferred
